Listening closely to your feedback, we’re excited to share key updates around fine-tuning your selling experience and making it easier than ever to start building a business on Whatnot. 

Feedback that Drives Change

Your feedback is incredibly important to us, and it's actively guiding the future of Whatnot. We're excited to share some of the upcoming changes that we've developed based on your valuable insights:

  • Reply to Reviews: Keep the conversation going and build trust with your buyers by publicly responding to their reviews, a feature you have long requested. Whether it’s connecting with them over a positive experience or providing additional context for balance, this new functionality allows you to address all feedback. Reviews are crucial for building trust and loyalty with current and future buyers, and now you can respond and share your appreciation and more details for purchases.

  • Print from Mobile: Soon, you can generate and print shipping labels and packing slips directly from your mobile device; no need to be tied to your computer.

  • Create Custom Restart Thresholds: Increase your sales velocity by customizing the bid restart threshold in your auctions on web. Now, you can set custom values like 2s, 3s, 5s, or 7s as the bid restart threshold. For instance, if you choose 7s, the countdown timer will reset to 7s instead of 10s whenever a bid is placed with less than 7 seconds remaining in the auction.

Driving Referrals to Your Shows 

With our buyer referral program, you can share links to your family, friends or followers across the internet - and they’ll get $15 of free credit to shop your store. We're testing a new offer to generate even more sales: an additional $10 for referred users who haven't yet used their initial $15 credit. This means more potential customers for your store and shows. Plus, they'll receive an email and push notification reminding them to spend their credit.

New Seller Journey, Simplified

If you're considering the jump from buying to selling, we've got new tools to help you make that leap with confidence. We’ve completely revamped our seller onboarding process, making it easier than ever to apply and start selling. We’ve broken down essential topics like setting up your show, managing products, running giveaways, and more. Plus, we’ve included plenty of helpful videos you can revisit anytime. And keep an eye out—guided experiences for shipping and getting paid are coming soon.

Need help but don’t know who to ask? New sellers will soon have access to a built-in support network with our new group DMs. You'll be paired with other new sellers and a Whatnot expert who can answer your questions and share tips to keep you motivated. 

Boost Your Early Sales

Make your first week a success with promotions and cash bonuses. Not sure who’d come and watch your show? Enjoy $25 in promotional credit to attract buyers to your initial shows, plus a $150 cash match on your first week’s sales. This way, you can focus on your show without worrying about perfect pricing.
