Product Updates: Bringing You and Your Community Closer Together with Rewards Club

Hello Whatnot Community! We're back with some exciting updates from the product team. At Whatnot, we’re all about helping you turn your passion into a business and bringing people together through shopping. Today, we’re excited to share a brand new feature that does just that, plus updates on some of the top-requested features we’re working on.

Drive buyer loyalty with Rewards Club

Introducing Rewards Club, an achievement-based loyalty program to recognize and reward your most active customers with perks like coupons and access to exclusive shows. This always-on, easy-to-enter program tracks buyer interactions and delivers fun rewards and status for shoppers–boosting engagement, retaining buyers, and driving more sales to your business on Whatnot.

Sellers on Whatnot understand the value of repeat buyers and how they help drive their business, and our data confirms this. We know buyers on Whatnot who make two purchases with the same seller in one month are 2.5x more likely to remain long-term purchasers, compared to buyers who make up to 10 purchases from 10 different sellers.

With Rewards Club, we want to give your customers more reasons to return to your shows.

Every Whatnot seller's business, bottom line, and focus are very different. With that in mind, Rewards Club is built to work for sellers of all sizes. You get to choose how it works, how members progress, and what rewards are given based on your unique needs:

  • Five-tiers for all: From “Bronze” to “Diamond,” our multi-tier program allows you to create incentives for all buyer types and fans of your show, whether they’re long-time watchers, casual supporters, or engaged, repeat buyers.

  • Set your own member achievements: Take control by setting your own achievements to unlock tiers, such as the number of purchases, the amount spent, and the number of times they watch.

  • Create custom rewards: Tailor rewards that buyers unlock for each tier—dollar amount, or percentage off —to fit your business strategy.

  • Recognize your best buyers: In addition to the rewards you offer, we've built in badging and celebrations for buyers as they unlock reward tiers, making it easier for you to recognize and engage with your best buyers.

  • Run exclusive shows: In the future, we’ll introduce tier-only shows so you can run exclusive shows for your top customers.

Rewards Club is live for a small group of beta sellers to gather feedback and shape the final version before its wider release. In the meantime, please sign up for our waitlist for a chance to gain early access as we expand availability. We'll keep you updated on further developments and aim to make the feature available to all sellers soon!

Auctions made easier with Multi-Slab Scanner

Available in beta for Auctions, you can now seamlessly scan up to 15 slabs (for cards and coins) to capture their photos and automatically fill in their basic field values, e.g., Title, Category, Description, Brand, —so you no longer need to enter these fields manually! You’ll only have to enter the product listing flow once to scan up to 15 slabs and generate up to 15 individual slab product listings, making it a snap to add slabs in bulk to your profile and to your shows. Sign up for the beta waitlist here. The Multi-Slab Scanner is currently available on iOS and will roll out to other platforms soon.

Captions are here!

One of our most requested features from shoppers is enabling captions in shows. Starting now, Whatnot buyers can turn on captions, increasing accessibility for your viewers and giving them another method of watching shows when audio isn’t an option. Buyers can click the ‘More’ button while watching a show to toggle captions on/off, and it will remain on by default in all shows watched thereafter until the buyer turns them off. Captions are available on iOS to start, with Android coming soon.
